Wanna Go For A Ride? And a GREAT Recipe!

We spent last Friday night in Richmond, VA before heading east to the wedding on Saturday. We stayed with Brad's cousin Wade and his girlfriend Sara and their cute dogs! When we got there they had dinner made for us and made us feel right at home.

They're the best and the cutest couple!

Before dinner we sat outside and enjoyed cocktails and food when all of a sudden I looked up and Wade had put the poochies in his truck!

He said they love hanging out in there. Check it out! How funny is this?? Looks like they're ready to roll! LOL!

Schotzy and Jimmy. They were happy sitting in there for about 30 minutes while we hung out in the yard.

Anytime I go to Virginia I pick up a bottle of Williamsburg Winery's Governors White. Good stuff - so I brought a bottle for us to enjoy with dinner. If you ever get a chance try a bottle of any wine from The Williamsburg Winery. You won't be disappointed.

And.. the best part of the night?? This F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S dip that Sara made! Serve with Frito Scoops! She found it in a church cookbook. We both agree that some of the best recipes are found in those old church cookbooks.

Here's the recipe. Compliments of Sara! Perfect for a party!
2 cans black-eyed peas (wash and drain)
2 can shoe-peg corn (drain)
1 green pepper chopped
1 or 2 cans Ro-tel Lime and Cilantro mexican fiesta (Sara uses 1 if she have fresh tomatoes to add, 2 if she doesn't)
1 bottle Kraft Greek Vinaigrette
3 small tomatoes (Sara adds these in the summer and then just 1 can of rotel)chopped green onions. Combine and serve with fritos. Its even better the next day!

That's it for today kids!! CIAO!!
