Santa, Cookie Exchange and Holiday Fun!

It seems that every year the holidays get busier, which makes me super happy.
This year, the first weekend in December was no different.
In my last post I talked about the Holiday wine tasting and cookie exchange I hosted, well, earlier that day was packed full of fun too.

Starting with a holiday volunteer event with my team from work.
We worked at the Salvation Army Angel Tree Distribution Center.
We shopped for children who haven't been picked off an Angel Tree, it was super cool and I plan to work distribution day on 12/22 when the families actually come and pick up the toys for their families.
They say it is WAY awesome and will put anyone in the Christmas spirit!
After the volunteer event, I left and went to Shelby's school for the Santa Workshop they were having.
A fun craft then a visit with Santa!

Not a fan of Santa Claus.
I had considered dressing her up in her Christmas 'best' and taking her to see Santa at the mall, but I think we're going to pass after this experience.
Later that evening, my cookie/wine party then the next day, more holiday fun!
Our neighbor's hosting their annual Christmas party and even their pooch was decked out.
I love having my cousin and her husband here.
Not only did they watch Buddy on Friday night for the party at our house, Saturday night they came and babysat Shelby so we could sneak away to this party!
Under the mistletoe, but you can't see it in this picture.
Topping the first of many holiday weekends to come, the Annual Charlotte Delta Gamma Alumni Cookie and Ornament Exchange.
The host home was lovely.
Such great cookies!!
If only I could eat them all!
Great to catch up with everyone too!
The ornament exchange was fun as always too.
I went home with yet another pretty.
As if I needed another ornament.
Brad watched Shelby while I was at the cookie exchange and when I got home all she could talk about was 'COOKIES!'..
She proceeded to get her holiday cookies out and a little baking too.
Cutest thing ever...
And, that's a wrap to our first weekend in December.
This weekend proves to be just as busy with Shelby's 2nd birthday party and 3 other Christmas parties/events!
WHEW!!
Hope all of you are getting into the spirit too!

As always, I'm behind on blogging, but am loving getting caught up with you! You are one busy little lady, but it all sounds so fun!! The Salvation Army even you worked…love it. Melts my heart and the 12/22 event will be so special. And I can't believe Miss Shelby is turning 2!! I remember when you were planning her 1st. Cookies look amazing…any easy recipes you can share? What fun! You always look so pretty. I can't believe tomorrow is Shelby's birthday. I can remember I had just started reading your blog about a month before she was born (I loved watching other pregnant mommies grow with me, ha) - and here we are 2 years later with 2 sassy almost 2 year olds! I can't wait to see what you do for Shelby's party. We're going lower key this year (again due to the apartment) and are going to a kid gym and also sharing the party with my nephew. It kind of has a theme of polka dots (since there will be balls all over the gym) - I got Drew the cutest pillowsack dress that is multi-colored chevron with a polka dot border and bow - I love it! Went off on a tangent there, ha!
