Hello Obama!!!?????

Some of you may get offended by today's post but I frankly could give a damn. I'm downright PISSED about this oil spill.

I mean WTF??!! I understand that it's BP's responsibility but at this point Obama and his crew of 'people of change'.. need to do something! ASAP! As James Carville has been saying in interviews on every network --'They're dying down there!'. The wildlife are in grave danger, stressed out.. some already dead!

The fisherman..the economy...all this will trickle down to the rest of America. Wait and see. People are taking this too lightly.

Where is the Department of the Interior? Where is Green Peace(we have heard nothing from them), and all those AWESOME celebs who want to save Africa and Haiti..nothing from them.

If you recall, there was a similar reaction during the floods of Nashville(except celebs jumped on that)..
All I can say is do something! and.. by the way... at least I can say I didn't vote for Obama. There I said it.

According to my husband "Obama hates sea turtles." This is such a debaucle. I heard somewhere they could have stopped it but BP wants to save the oil and that is what is taking so long. I don't if that is true or not but it makes me mad thinking about it.

It is an absolute disaster down there & keeps getting worse. What disheartens me is that people seem to be falling off the awareness couch. I don't see as much news about it anymore.

And honestly, BP is just doing wrong by the people that live there. There should have been 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th backup plans in case something went wrong.

Mr. Potts deals in energy & has pointed out that you don't see things like this as often in Europe because the companies (and industries) are so heavily regulated there.

Hubs and I were just looking at different sites last night, showing T, just how bad it all is. UNREAL.

I agree - something definitely needs to be done. NOW.

Poor Louisiana just can't get a break. Makes me so sad.

I could not agree more! Although I'm sure I'm not 100% knowledgeable about the situation, and what the options are, surely there is SOMETHING!

Also, regarding the celebs...preach it sister! They are always jumping to save everyone in other countries when they have a crisis. This definitely qualifies as a crisis! Let's start singing or something already? Raising money to pay for solutions! Sheesh!

So sad. I agree that it is getting worse and seems like NOTHING is being done about it. Out of sight, out of mind. Pathetic.

Without heavy government regulations of oil companies, things like this will continue to happen. Unfortunately, the lobbyists for the oil industry have made sure that the regulations are few and far between so they can do what they want.

It's such a mess......and everyone is blaming BP.....and then I hear Halliburton thrown in there sometimes, too. Everyone wants to blame....but nothing is getting done!

Halliburton is involved. They're involved with a lot of the rigs out there in the Gulf.

Way to say it like it is Dee! It's funny how celebs can jump on the bandwagon to help with a "cool" cause especially when it is far from home. Hopefully they get their head out of their a - - and do something soon! I didn't vote for him either!

It makes me feel really good to know we have support out there. I am trying not to dwell on it, but I have heard that our property value is about to drop to unimaginable depths. I am so concerned, this happen right after Katrina, too!
I wish we had Bobby Jindal as a president, or even our governor in Mississippi. He's done with their shit. Biggest Question! When are we going to stop this freaking thing.
