We're Official!!

What a lot of you may not know is that we live just a couple of miles from one of the region's most popular amusement parks.
Owned by the same people who own Cedar Point, Carowinds, is not only a theme park, but also has a huge water park as well.

All Summer long I have sorta wished we had passes to go, but felt it would probably be a waste with Shelby still being so little.
General admission is $60 a person, and even while Shelby is free, that just seems pricey.
But, on Friday my co-worker who goes all the time with his 3-year old and 8-year, told me about their Fall 'deal', I just knew we had to do it.

We are OFFICIALS 2015 season pass holders now!
Passes are $90 a piece for adults(children under 3 are free), until November 2nd.
With that you get a free day pass for the remaining part of the 2014 season!

So, after the pumpkin patch on Sunday we came home and let Shelby nap, then headed over for a couple of hours.
Carowinds pumpkin fest for kids started this weekend and while I heard it was jam-packed on Saturday, we experienced zero crowds and lines on Sunday.
We were so excited!
Shelby and the rest of the kids in the park got to visit the patch and get a free pumpkin.
Shelby picked out a small one.
After that it was time to hit some attractions.
Planet Snoopy is the toddler friendly part of the park and there were quite a few things she could ride.
Because the park was dead, Brad and I took turns riding roller coasters while Shelby rode her little rides.
It was pretty awesome!!
I love coasters!!
The highlight of the day was taking Shelby on this kiddie roller coaster.
Not going to lie, she was a 'tad' too short, but another woman told me she took her son on it and he was much smaller.
The attendant didn't say anything so we went for it.
WHEW!
Shelby was a little surprised when we took off!
She never cried but had this scared look on her face and kept looking back as you can see here.
Then coming downhill she wasn't so sure!
Look at that face!
All in all, she never cried but was ready to get off and NOT back on.
The swings are more her thing for right now.
I can't wait until March when the park opens back up for the 2015 season.
Shelby will be taller then and hopefully ready for some toddler thrill rides!!
The best part is, Carowinds is going under a major renovation this Winter which includes building the fastest and highest roller coaster in North America!
YAY for family fun!
