Being Thankful --The Difference One Year Makes

As we near the end of this pregnancy I've been doing a lot of thinking.
Thinking not only about the last 9-months but about the last couple of years.

Earlier this week it dawned on me what a different place Brad and I were at this time last year.
It was the week before Thanksgiving that we were deep into the IVF process.
I had my egg retrieval and we were waiting on news of how our embryos were doing.
We learned on November 17th that the ones that had survived had quit growing and that we would have nothing to transfer.
For those of you not familiar with IVF, that means, no chance of getting pregnant.
Back to square one.

All that time.
All that money.
All those shots.
All that emotional stress.
For nothing..

Talk about devastation right as we entered the holiday season.

Now, one year later, it's an entire different story.
I almost can't believe it's actually happening.
Shelby's due date is less than 3-weeks away.
We're actually having a baby!!!
God is good peeps!!
God is good.
We have SOOOOOOOOOO much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!!!

You guys have come such a long way! This is such an exciting time for you both. Less than three weeks - I almost can't believe it, either!
