Bows..Bows..BOWS!!

It's no secret with my family and friends, I'm CRAZY about bows!
When I first started this blog nearly 4-years ago I even wrote this post about my love of them while growing up.
So, when I found out we were having a girl I knew she would be born a BOWHEAD!

Good for me is that my Mom is talented and can make beautiful bows that you pay big money for in the stores.
She made all of mine growing up and now she's back in business.
While she was visiting this past week, I put her to work!!
We went out in search of grosgrain ribbon and I was shocked at how picked over most of the stores here in town were/are!
And, most of the headbands to put them on?
Sold out.
Seriously, I went to 4 or 5 stores.
The only thing I can figure is that everyone is making bows?
It has taken Brad a while to get use to the 'bow' thing.
Of course, it's taking him a while to get use to all things girly because he grew up with a brother and it was all about sports.
Of course we're not opposed to Miss Shelby playing sports.
As I tell Brad, she can do anything she wants to do whether it's take ballet, play soccer, volleyball, or play piano.
But, for right now there's one thing that is for sure.
She's a bowhead.
Just like her Mommy was!!
(this was the day I got my braces off hence why I'm in front of the orthodontist sign)
How about you?
Bowhead or not?
Of course, I know it's not every one's thing.

Haha I was all about the bows growing up in the 80's. My mom made them with my sister and me, too. :)

I was definitely NOT a bow head, but I think you looked perfect and your daughter looks darling in them!

I was a total bow head. A lady my mom knew made bows and I had one to go with every outfit. I remember one of my favorites was made out of balloons and I loved it!

I love bows! I wore them through college. I remember seeing a girl while playing sorority intermurals that wore the biggest bows I ever seen and thought to myself, I want to be friends with her. We were roommates in grad school and she was a bridesmaid in my wedding-ha! Hope to have lots of bows in the future, right now it's lots of blue, blocks and balls!

I am so sad that Lacey is pretty much beyond the bow stage! Sophia is still there and I always have her in a bow if we are going out!

Ok, I wasn't a bowhead, but I can relate to the khaki shorts, tucked in t-shirt, suede bass shoes with laces and socks!!!!!!

That just brought back an onset of memories of my wardrobe in middle and high school! WOW, our styles back then left much to be desired!!!!

I only wore bows during cheerleading events. But I think Miss Shelby looks perfectly adorable in her bows! She was Born to Bow :)

So cute, I love the bows!!! My mom says that i was nearly bald until i was around 3 so she always had me in bows so people would know i was a girl :) Hopefully my baby will take after my hubby and have some hair, but either way if it's a girl then bows are a must!

I concur. If I had it my way, Lainey would have either a bow or monogram on at all times.

Me, too. :)

My baldy needs her bows and hats!

I don't remember wearing many bows, but goodness I can't get enough of them on little girls. So cute, and keep them on Miss Shelby. :) That's great your Mom can make all of them. Score!

Not. But I love a sweet baby in a bow.

I was a bowhead. My mom has made a couple for Emma. Emma has 5 or 6 bow holders hanging on her wall and they are completely FULL. It's stupid how many bows she has. I put her in a lot of bows as a baby. Now, not as many for some reason.

Love her! She's so adorable!!!

You know I'm a bow addict!!! I enjoy making them, too :) Shelby is so beautiful.. It's ridiculous! When I was in middle school-high school we used to tie ribbons in our hair. Even during my soccer, volleyball and softball games haha ❤
