Life Update and Week in Pictures

Hello Friends!
I feel 'out of the loop' this week.
I've been on the road with my Mom.
She's an event planner/meeting planner so I took a few vacation days to help her out with one of her larger conferences.
We were in Atlanta. I left Sunday and returned last night. If you follow me on Twitter I'm sure you heard the drama of the woman who refused to sit in her assigned seat on the flight home..
I won't get into that on here.

For now.. random pictures from the week.
Most of them are IPhone pictures.
They had a ton of people welcoming Troops home when we got to the Atlanta airport.
It always makes me smile and feel proud when I see soldiers come home to their families.
My Dad said this will soon come to an end though as they're about to end R&R for our soldiers.
When they're returning home from war they're brought back to a base(with a big welcome home party) and not regular airports.
Our hotel for the week was the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.
One of the largest in the city and a great hotel for large events.
Such as the one we were working.
I made plans in advance to meet one of my best friends for Sunday Brunch.
She lives in Mid-Town Atlanta.
I've talked about Alicia here before.
She made reservations at Rosebud in the Highlands for us.
Delicious food but if you plan to go call ahead for a reservation or you'll be waiting a long time to get in.
I ordered cheese grits with a ham, brie and egg on french bread.
Alicia had the oysters with cheese grits.
Both were GREAT!
I would suggest Rosebud to anyone visiting Atlanta!
Out of all my closest/best friends she lives the nearest to me.
We need to start planning to meet up at least every other month.
After brunch I went back to the hotel.
We were on the 38th floor and this was the view from our suite.
 Then, at night.
I still haven't figured out what that tall building is.
Anyone?
It was great to be in Atlanta working with my Mom and what made it even better is that my brother was there too.
I don't get to see him much and it's rare we're all together.
So, we seized the moment to get a family picture.
Can you see the resemblance?
It happened to be my Mom's birthday while we were there too so we had the hotel bring up a cake before we left yesterday.
Gorgeous or what?
This is kind of a bad picture but I thought I would post anyway.
 Overall, not a bad trip.
Especially, since we got out of there just as the ACC basketball fans were arriving.
We'll be cheering on the Hokies tonight as they take on Clemson!
That's all I have for now.
I hope to be back with more exciting posts in the next few days or so.
Now, time to catch up on all of you!

So glad your family could all be together! We always stay at that Marriott for the SEC Championship and bball tourney. It scares me to look over the interior balcony!

Great pics with your phone! You and your mom are gorgeous. I see where you get your looks from. I can't see much resemblance to your brother but I look nothing like my brother either.

That hot pink top is adorable! I need it in my life!!
