I was driving around doing errands this morning and thought about what I was doing this weekend last year(Mother's Day).. and I realized that I was in San Diego visiting my friend Christina.
What fun...! Christina used to live here in Charlotte and I met her in the Jr. League and we've remained friends even though she moved back home to CA.
I had been to San Diego before and done all the tourist things so when I planned my trip I told her I just wanted to relax and hang out. That's what we did -- except for a day trip to Temecula(the S. CA wine country). What a treat -- my friend Amy, who I worked in Reno with, drove over from Palm Springs to hang out with us.
I don't get to see these girls too much but we're always sure to talk on the phone and make visits.
This Mother's Day is so much different than last -- as you've seen in my previous post -- Brad and I are having our parents meet.....

Christina and I cooked dinner every night instead of eating out. This is an AWESOME bottle of wine we shared. She bought it when in Napa for my 30th birthday. She waited until I visited to open it(2 years later)...
Christina lives in the Torrey Pines area of San Diego -- one day we hiked at the state park. Gorgeous views!
