Home Again..Home Again...

After several weekends on the go, it was really nice to be home this past week/weekend!
That didn't stop us from getting our party on though!
The Panthers played the Saints last Thursday night here in town and for years the LSU Alumni group has hosted a tailgate and we've never been able to make it.
I love the Saints, but I'm really a Panthers fan and proud of it! Even so, I thought it would be fun to hang out with all the Louisiana people.
Saints fans were decked out!
We stayed pretty neutral but I did have a blue Lilly scarf that I had taken off at this moment.
The party was held on the street in front of Emeril LaGasse's restaurant here in town and for $15 we got all you can eat gumbo, jambalaya and 4 Abita beers on draft.
I hate to say it, I was disappointed with the food. It just wasn't good.
I'm not into tomato based jambalaya and the gumbo was just 'ok'.
Only sausage and I was expecting something different.
Friend Sara stopped by on her way to the game as did a few others.
We didn't have tickets to the actual game, so after an hour or so we left and headed home.
But the party continued for those who stayed...
 Second Line and ALL!
Other happenings around here, have included opening Halloween cards from family..
And a playdate with another couple and their kids on Saturday.
The weather was cold and rainy, so we just hung around their house, let the kids play and watched football and ate.
Sunday's weather was a tad better but still cold outside!!
So, we found things to do inside which included baking pumpkin spice chocolate chip cookies.
Shelby hasn't been a big fan of the mixer, but I'm happy to report she got more comfortable with it this time.
This girl LOVES to help in the kitchen!
And, the cookies were delish.
Too good, actually.
I took the rest of them to work.
We're back on the road this weekend for a wedding.
Let's hope I can work all the cookies off that I ate so I can fit in my dress!
Happy Tuesday!!
