39 1/2 Weeks and Holiday Home Tour

Not going to lie, I'm feeling pretty lame right now.
It's Saturday night and I decided to bail on a neighbor's Christmas party because I physically didn't feel like I could do it.
If you are friends with me at all, you know this is SOO VERY UNLIKE me!
I never miss a chance to dress up and socialize, especially during the holidays!!!
But, as I enter these final days of pregnancy I'm realizing I can't do as much as I think I can.
For Instance...
I woke up this morning with high hopes.
I was going to go to the movies with the niece and nephew, come home and wrap gifts, bake a batch of cookies and go to the neighbor's Christmas party.

Umm...
The only thing that happened out of that list was wrapping gifts.
(which I did get every last one wrapped)
I bailed on the movie, cookies and party.
Sucky.Long.Time
I guess it is what it is.
~~~~~~~
Friday night I did manage to accomplish what I had planned.
That was work all day then attend a local holiday home tour with another couple.
(this may or may not be why I was so worn out today)
Brad and I headed out right after work to meet our friends.
I made him take a 39 1/2 week picture of me in my work lobby.
The tour started about 4-blocks from my office and giving that the doctor told me to stay active we  walked over there.
They were offering carriage rides to and from each house but I thought it was a good idea to try and walk as much as possible to try and get this baby to move down.
 The home tour was through the Fourth Ward neighborhood.
Many of you might remember I did this same tour last year with girlfriends.
The fact that Katie and I got Brad and Josh to go is still beyond me, but I'm so glad they were good sports about it.
As I told Brad.. you can't hate on it until you try it!
 The first house we stopped at was by far the prettiest and most decorated.
 I cut off the top of this tree but the topper was a top hat and it was adorable.
 Even the bathroom was festive.
 The dining room decor was also something to behold.
 Our 2nd stop didn't have as much decor but who was inside made up for it!
 Santa...
 And, Classic Annie!!
Of course, I knew she was going to be there volunteering.
Always fun to see her!
We stopped into 2 other houses then called it a night with the tour.
My legs and feet were killing me, and the other houses were blocks and blocks away.
I knew I couldn't make it.
Instead we headed over to Alexander Michael's for dinner.
 Quaint little tavern that happens to be where Brad and I had our first date.
After dinner we headed home and golly geezers was I glad to get my UGG boots off!!
You should have seen my poor legs!!!
So swollen!!!
I was so uncomfortable that I didn't even get a good night's rest, which is why I think I've been worthless today.
Call it a hangover of sorts!!
~~~~~~~
Tomorrow I hope to be in better shape and enjoy my day by finally baking those cookies then chilling on the couch watching a holiday movie or two!
Happy Saturday!!

I am 36 1/2 weeks pregnant and I definitely did too much today. It's so hard during holiday times to not try and do as much as possible. I can't wait for Shelby to be here!

Totally understandable that your energy level is undertermined on the last weeks. You look great my dear! Enjoy every moment!

Girl, I'm still so impressed as to how active you have been...you make me feel lazy. The home tour looks so fun. We have our little tree tour this coming Friday, and it's girls only...which Rob has no complaints. :) Get some rest today. I'm seriously so crazy excited for Miss Shelby. :)

I hear you, lady. I think the most irritating part of this last stage of pregnancy is having to skip out on things you would normally enjoy. I feel like my whole life is on hold!

what a pretty house. Good luck with the next week or so. Baking holiday cookies? You're on fire girl! I don't blame you for skipping party.

OH, I so know how you feel. That area must be a lot like our Oakwood area. I love it. I'm going to look for that Tavern.

What a fun night! The purple bathtub decor was over-the-top, but fun and festive at the same time. I also love your bffs tartan top!

Hurry up and come, Miss Shelby!
