Such a good time Wednesday night with local bloggers and a little bit of Dr. Seuss!
I was invited to this party a few weeks ago and was totally looking forward to it.
I would have brought Shelby, but I'm such a freak about her bedtime, and giving that the party started at the time she goes to bed, I went solo and was the only one there without a kiddo.
Oh wells..
The party was to showcase the new Netflix.com/Families channel which is aimed at helping parents entertain their kids more this Summer.
Great idea if you ask me!
Tons of options on this channel including: Family Movie Night, Are We There Yet and TV for Curious Kids.
The best part??
The programs are available to both members and non-members!
Shelby is just now getting into watching TV and programs so I'm stoked for this!
The host Dana went all out.
Knowing that she was going to live stream the movie The Lorax, she went for the Dr. Seuss theme.
The cake was precious, not to mention delicious.
She also provided us with fun hats and mustaches!
And, fun food and drinks!
There were also party favors if we matched the correct quote to the right Seuss book!
Favors for the kiddos too!
The kids weren't real interested in the favors, just the movie.

It's interesting to know that most families have 3 or more Netflix ready devices in their household.
I didn't realize this until Brad mentioned it recently and I read it.
Netflix works on smartphones, tablets, laptops, SmartTVs, PlayStation, XBox and the Wii.
The best part?
Families with Netflix can watch all their favorites commercial free and a year of it costs less than taking a family of 5 to 2 movies!!
BOOYAH!!
Everyone loves movies and it's even better when the whole family can enjoy them together.
Program choices range from ages 2 to 12-years old.
We have a TV in our SUV so I can't wait to use the streaming Netflix in there!
Not to shabby if you ask me!
The kiddos agree!!!A Seuss of a Good Time!

It costs us more than $100 for our family of 5 to go to the movies. $60 in tickets and then food/drinks end up over $40.
This is a much better option!
I had so much fun with A's Dr. Seuss theme party. so many fun things. Never would have thought to do it myself (it was Andrew's desire) but so fun. Looks like a fun party
I am a huge bedtime nazi. I've definitely been judged for not bringing my baby out in the evening, but honestly, my full night of sleep depends on maintaining her bedtime. (Who wants to mess with great sleep for both mom and babe!?)
I loved the Lorax!! Dr. Suess was such a forward thinker!!
Love netflix and I can log on when I'm traveling on my computer
I don't think we could live without netflix, honestly. Will wants to get rid of cable now. I would, but I"m hestitate because I like the DVR and some primetime things, but a lot of people have done it.
Great info.
Going to the movie is crazy expensive.
Cute pArty! We just signec up for net flix last month!
way cute. I LOVE those straws, looks like fun!
We loooove netflix. When Shelby does start watching TV, it is a lifesaver. O, you want to see 32904809238349 episodes of Curious George in a row? No problem, little people.
how adorable! What a cute idea!
XOXO
