So, what's on the agenda?? Callaway Gardens!! I've been wanting to go here for some time! I've driven by it but never stopped. It's about an hour south of where my parents live in Atlanta.
Lakes, trails, resorts, etc.
What I hope to do(and just called my Mom to let her know), is bike along one of their many trails!
Mom and I rode bikes several years ago along the Battery in Charleston, SC and she loved it even though she claims she had not rode a bike since she was in her 20's!
I love to ride bikes but right now I don't have one :-( They rent them at C. Gardens though!
Brad and I have been talking recently about buying a couple of cheap bikes to ride together along one of Charlotte's many greenways.
Such great exercise and fun way to spend an afternoon or morning.
Maybe I'll get a bike for my birthday?

Love this! Atlanta is such a great city with so many fun things to do--we just got back from a long weekend trip there and had a blast! Biking the trails and getting to enjoy the scenery sounds great! I don't know exactly where you will be in/near Atlanta, but if you are anywhere near Reynolds Plantation (in Greensboro county), you should make a spa appointment at The Ritz Carlton there. It is not your typical snooty, uppity Ritz--it was all Southern charm and hospitality! I went when we were there and got a facial--oh my heavens, it was fabulous! And last summer I also got treated to a massage there and it was so wonderful! Hope you have a great time with your Mom--I love that you and your Mom are so close, me and my mom are close too and I can't wait to be able to go on fun weekend trips like this with her!:)
That sounds like fun! Believe it or not, I've been away from the treadmill this week and have been swimming laps. It's been so nice. The town up here has a nice community pool with a big lap pool area.
I love Atlanta!! sounds like a lot of fun and looks super beautiful!
I will be up there in 2 weeks. I like visiting Atlanta...they have great shopping.

Trey and I used to ride bikes all the time. One of my favorite forms of exercise. We need to get Hudson a little "sidecar" for Christmas so that we can all enjoy a bike ride together.
