So many random thoughts going through my head today so here we go.
* EVERYONE is moving!! Except for us! :( My b/f/f Rebekah is moving to Dallas tomorrow and the latest is my college and blog buddy Casey. Go check out her news!! JEALOUS!! As much as I love Charlotte, there's nothing better than an adventure and exploring a new area!
* I hate snobby people. Why or why!? Do you really think of yourself that much? I say this because I saw an old neighbor yesterday here at work. You would have thought she hung the moon by the way she spoke to me. WHATEVER..get over yourself.
* I hate panhandlers. I actually wrote a letter to the Mayor's office about the increase in panhandlers here in Uptown Charlotte.
* As I continue to work on this Junior League project I feel like there are too many cooks in the kitchen. Get my drift?
* I'm thinking of getting away this weekend. Just me and my Mom. My Dad is out of town and one of Brad's good friends just moved here from DC so he's excited to hang with him. I'm thinking either I will just go to the ATL or we meet in the mountains. I'm thinking it's cooler in the mountains than the ATL.
* Don't you love how I refer to things as 'the'. Makes them sound more important such as, "The" Buddy.
* Speaking of Buddy - we've been invited to a birfday party!! It's the same birfday party we went to last year that had a VEGAS theme! In case you weren't reading this blog last year - check it out here.
So, I just got the invite and guess what? It's a Lilly party for Lilly!! Pink and Green and all!! We can't wait!! It's at the Dog Bar again!
* My birthday is 20-or so days away and I'm thinking I want a FLIP Camera.
* Bristol Palin and Levi need to stop with this media coverage. Get over yourself and the $$. I heard this morning that the US Weekly stuff was for $$.
* The soup diet is going okay even though Brad and I cheated last night and drank wine. Onward I go!
* Speaking of go - or GEAUX!! Football season is only a few weeks away! I'll leave you with a question:
"How do you feel about people who root for college sporting teams that they didn't go to?" For example: there's a guy in our LSU alumni group who comes to all of our events and games but yet he went to Eastern Carolina University.
CIAO!

I won't lie I am a HUGE Gator fan! However, I did not go to UF, my dad did and I grew up going to games from the time I was 10. And when it was time for me to go away, I chose a school with no football so I could always wear my orange and blue with pride!
I am a huge FSU fan because I am from FL (and most of my family lives there) and grew up rooting for them. I went to high school in AZ and ended up at Zona for college so obviously I am a huge Zona fan. I also like to root for other teams that I like the coaches of ... UGA - Richt is a former FSU coach. I think if you have a connection (i.e. family, hometown, etc.) it makes sense to root for them. Kind of like you rooting for VT b/c of Brad. I know I will root for whatever school my kids go to (assuming it isn't my hated rival school) and I like to root for schools my friends root for. I.E. whenever I see LSU playing I think of you and Casey ... TT - Coco and Sara .... OU my cousin J's husband ... etc. Sorry so long winded on this post - I guess it is b/c I am so excited for college football to start.
I love how you have "random" thoughts along that same line as me. I also say "the".... Sean points it out ALL the time. Have fun with your mom.
Oh, and yes the team thing sometimes bother me. When people go to hog games, went to other schools, and then gripe about how "UA" people think they are better......
We're headed to Asheville this weekend! I haven't been and am so excited! I vote you go there too!!
GEAUX Tigers! I say that and I went to Loyola. I have no problem with a really loyal fan who cheers for a school they didn't go to or a team in a city they've never lived in. The more loyal fans the merrier.
You should totally get a flip! I love it. It's so fun and I haven't even messed with all the editing stuff yet. It's super easy to use and super easy to delete random stuff. I took it to my friend's wedding last week and we took tons of video prior to the wedding and then of course got great vid of all the dancing. It was hilarious to look at!
the flip was cool at first and then i was over it. get the smaller one if you get it.
hmmm. i mean a lot of Southern folks love them some LSU but they never went there. i dunno.
husband has a friend and he wears an lsu hat and honestly, it weirds me out a little. i feel protective of my school. i am weird.
We love our FLIP!! As you can tell from all the videos I've been posting lately :)
The whole team thing is a weird situation. My biggest pet peeve is that EVERYONE in TX jumps on the UT bandwagon and it drives me insane. For instance - Trey's brother graduated from TCU - they're ranked #6 in pre-season polls, but his brother lives in Austin now and will still be a die hard UT fan even though he's never been enrolled there. Don't you think he'd be excited that the school he graduated from is supposed to kick some ass this year?!?! ugh. So annoying. And our old receptionist used to wear UT gear all the time. I once asked her if she had any family that went to UT and she said, No...I just like them. Um, okay. Who's their quarterback?? I can't remember his name. Yeah, big fan. It's all MARKETING!!!
I like how people act shocked Bristol and Levi, and it is a huge news story. Really? Or like when Jake and Vienna split...how is any of this surprising? haha
Love my Flip! Got it for Vday, and I use it all the time. Great gift.
I root for MU even though I never went. Well, I go to their sister school, and we suck. We don't even have a football team. Soooo...I had no choice. Kinda. I don't mind people rooting for other teams! But that's probably because I do it :)
Mark is the biggest sooner fan ever, good thing we live here now. but he and i went UNT. he was born and raised an OU fan though. and wine doesn't count for cheating, i swear it!!
In TN you could recognize the ones who did not go to the school...they were in the orange and white camo overalls. Dave and I argue about this all the time. He did not go to UF but is the biggest fan ever. I don't get it. But I guess Florida Southern does not have a football team so he had to cheer for someone.
Doesn't bother me, but I see how it would some. Can't wait for LSU football season!
I have mixed emotions for people that root for college teams they didn't even go to...Here in Pensacola LOTS of people root for Alabama. Roll Tide, blah, blah, blah. And let me just tell you, I'd be suprised if the people rooting for Bama even finished high school or got a GED.
But, I root for Gators because that's what my hometown team! Even though, I went to LSU and graduated from OU! So, I do it too, but I'm like "Really? Bama? Please."
What the heck is a FLIP?
