I really wanted to get pictures with me, Brad and The Budster but the fact is ---he's VERY furry and likes to sniff. We would have gotten dog hair all over us. Not to mention - I'm not sure he would have cooperated.
As far as having him part of the ceremony? Maybe if it had been a summer wedding outside but even then I'm not sure I would have wanted to be worried about that element.
So -- saying all that -- we sent Buddy to stay with his groomer for a few days while we got married and partied it up. His groomer loves him so much that he takes Buddy home with him at night.
After the wedding - Brad's parents offered to take Buddy for the week while we went skiing, work, and to Arkansas. I have to say Brad and I missed the pooch terribly!
We got him back this past Sunday only to receive this card from Brad's parents in the mail. It was addressed to Buddy Stephens.
Know that Brad's parents live on the lake and have a HUGE fenced in yard. Buddy stays outside all day.
The inside of the card says this and signed Grammy and Pop.

Buddy,
We sure do miss you. The squirrels won't get their daily exercise with you not here to chase them. When you get tired of being stuck inside ALL day with your mom and dad call us. We'll bring you back whenever you want to visit!

Ha, that is too cute!
That is super sweet! I love your new header, by the way!
That is so sweet of your inlaws! You did good Dee - looks like a great family!
Awww...so sweet! Just another reminder of what a great family you seemed to have married into!
My grandparents were like that with our dog, Ranger. My grandmother would literally fix him breakfast every single morning when he was over there. Two eggs, two pieces of bacon and two pieces of toast. No joke.
Aww how sweet!!
That is precious.
