New Years Part II

Okay - one more post about our New Years weekend then I'll move on to better topics like WEDDING!! 46 Days AWAY!! YIKES!

For now -- part two of our New Years shenanigan-filled weekend. After NYE we went home and power-napped and got to our bowling party at Charlotte's hip and trendy bowling alley Strike City.

For all you Charlotte peeps - if you haven't checked it out you must. It's really fun and despite what I initially thought on my first visit -- it's not that expensive - especially if you have a big group like we did on New Years Day.

Here we are minus a couple of people. We got there at 1pm - just in time to watch what turned out to be the debacle of a game that LSU played against Penn State.

Here's the guy that set the whole thing up -- our friend Paul. Again, not bad pricing for this party. It was $480 for 4-hours of unlimited bowling and $180 bar and food tab. Then after that everyone was on their own. Turned out we all paid $25 a person and the drinks after that.

Unlike my last visit to this place -- I was a ROCK STAR when it came to bowling. I have to say I shocked myself!

Just check out the scoreboard! Yes, I had to document! Ignore the first go round of gutter balls!

It really was a lot of fun! Here's Brad taking a picture of me - taking a picture - with his phone

Brad loves to bowl so he was totally into it. We bowled the entire 4 hours! Yep..while others set on the sideline and just drank -- we P-A-R-T-I-C-I-P-A-T-E-D!

The trio - me, Laurie and Kelly. Yes, we recovered from the night before.

Because of the night before I indulged in much of this! mmm.. have I ever told you pizza is one of my favorite foods aside from brie?

Again, a great turnout. Notice Laurie is the only one noticing I'm taking a picture. LOL!

What a great way to spend New Years day! If Paul had not set this up we would have been laying on the couch! I propose we make it an annual thing!

After our 4-hours were up we decided to continue to get our 'party on' by cabbing it down the street to my old neighborhood. It was there we hit up the spot where it all began. Jackelope Jack's.
I have to admit - it was so nice to be back in the old hood. Oh how I miss it! Brad does too honestly.

At Jack's there are always characters. Like this guy! Can you believe he's only 63-years old??? I was like WTF??!!!
From what the guy with him told us -- he likes to get his 'drink on'.

After Jack's we walked down the street and joined the rest of the group from the bowling party at Lindsey and Michael's house.
What a great place they have! Historic home right on 7th street!

Well, that's about it -- after hanging here for a few hours we got a cab and headed home to sleep it off for about 2 days! haha!
Happy New Year everyone!
