Brad and I are big into making homemade pizzas.
On Saturday, after running errands, getting things done around the house, and watching the LSU Tigers and the VT Hokies win...we got ready for our pizza party.
Brad is obsessed with the chalkboard in our kitchen.
I'm a huge fan of white pizzas when we dine out but had never attempted to make one at home.
I went online and found a recipe for white pizza sauce.
Found here.
2tbs. of butter
3tbs. of flour
1 cup of milk
garlic
pepper
1/2 cup of fresh parmigiano.
Cook on the stove.
As you can see I mixed in some dried basil as well.
When it comes to our pizza making we also cook our crust for 5-minutes in the oven before we put any toppings on.
It makes it crispier
Then, the rest of the toppings.
We had some leftover brocolli so we put that, mushrooms and cheese on and popped it into the oven for 10-minutes.
Here's what we got.
OMG!
It was so good!
Brad swears we're never making regular pizza again.
Simple, easy and fun to do together.
You have to try it.
Here's to more pizza parties!
YUM!! I want your pizza crust recipe. I've never braved making our own dough.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is chicken, roasted red peppers and artichokes - so good! Dipped in ranch, of course :)
Those are some good tips I'm going to use next time. Kevin and I make pizzas almost every Friday we're home.
ReplyDeleteim drooling. Andrew will only eat white pizza (red gives him heart burn), but we have never tried at home. Might have to! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome! We've been doing pizza fridays and needed some inspiration for new pizzas! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHoly goodness! We definitely need to make that. I adore white sauce, but like you...I've never had it at home.
ReplyDeleteNow, are you making your dough like you did that one time? Or...are you buying the ball of dough? Is making it super hard? Just trying to decide which may be best for us, as first timers :)
That looks amazing! You are truly an inspiration in the kitchen, lady!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness that looks delicious. And so decadent. Pizza-makin' is the perfect activity for football season. Could you BELIEVE the game last night?!?! It was so exciting!!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks SO GOOD! I wish I had that in front of me right now to eat!
ReplyDeleteThat looks yummy! I usually pick marinara but there is one place here that if you ever visit I'm dragging you to. Best white pizza ever!
ReplyDeleteI like your blackboard.
ReplyDeleteThe recipe looks good. We're doing pizza tonight, and my son loves to make them. It's not as elaborate as yours though..just sauce and some cheese and Mama Mary crust.
Looks delicious! Homemade pizzas are one of my favorite things to make but I've never tried the white sauce at home.
ReplyDeleteOMGAWD.... I can NOT even begin to tell you how much I just typed and when I hit publish, I had lost my internet connection.....I could SPIT NAILS!!!!!

You must link it to my recipe swap on Friday. I am starting back and only doing it monthly.

Thanks for all the blog love...sorry I have been MIA...going in non stop circles!
As for the shoes, you are so right, they make a HUGE difference. Actually, months back when I stated getting shin splints, I thought i needed new ones. Come to find out, I was heel striking. So, I switched to Newtons. Love them..... now, the newest Dr's thoughts are the left hip is messed up b/c of the pronation on my left foot. I just ordered another pair of Newtons yesterday they have a little more height (MM) and I'm going to stick my Aetrex insoles back in there. (Newton is a minimalist shoe and I was told you didn't need them in there BUT I have to have them) Now, to break them in & heal before I leave NEXT THRUSDAY FOR THE 1/2 MARATHON! haha
