We got back this morning from Asheville, NC where our friends Stephan and Eileen tied the knot.
The venue: The Farm.
Time: Friday afternoon in the Fall during peak weekend for leaf peeping.
I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted because it was pretty chilly during the ceremony but here's where it took place.
Gorgeous view especially since I'm such a mountain lover.
Perfect centerpiece for an October or November wedding if you're not dead set on flowers.
Cupcakes instead of a cake.
This is becoming such a big trend.
My Mother refused to let us do this.
Party favors: horseshoes
Giving that it turned off chilly I pulled out my trusty long black Shelli Segal Laundry dress.
I picked this baby up years ago at the Junior League Wearhouse for free.
The zipper was busted and they were going to throw it out.
I brought it home and had a new zipper put in and have been wearing it ever since.
I got to wear my wedding shoes again too for the first time since our big day.
The food was Southern as could be complete with cheesy grits.
The happy couple.
And...another very happy couple.
We had a great time and had planned to stay today and tonight to join everyone on a bar crawl but giving that I have been gone most of the week we decided to head back to Charlotte and get our house in order.
Farmer's market, grocery and now our top priority, watching college football!
I love that pic of you and Brad with the wind blowing a bit. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat venue and great wedding. Pretty little touches!
you guys look so cute! My mother also refused to allow us to do cupcakes for our wedding...
ReplyDeleteI'm all caught up now with your adventures. I have problems during the week with keeping up with my dashboard so I'm going to move you to my sidebar on my blog. I tend to click there when I can't get to my dashboard. I'll make that change today.
