Throwback Thursday

I can't wait to reveal Shelby's nursery.

Just a few more touches and I will be able to show you all pictures.

Inspired by my best friend's nursery, for her now 10-year old, one of the things I wanted to do was incorporate some of me and Brad's baby/kid pictures.

Good thing I had already scanned a lot of these in for our wedding rehearsal dinner video so I was able to just get them printed off.

So today, a 'throwback Thursday', featuring a few of my favorites.

Of course, I didn't use all of these.

I was a bald baby.

We were living in Germany when this was taken.

My Mom bathed me in here a lot while my brother, 5-years older, played around in the tub.

I wasn't able to track down a whole lot of pictures of Brad under the age of 2 so these will suffice.

This is my absolute FAVORITE of all his kid pictures.

His Mom said he LOVED hiding in this hamper.

He too, remembers doing it.

I just wonder if Shelby will have curly hair like Bradster did?

Funny Foto Friday(a day early)

I'm doing Funny Foto Friday a day early this week. 

This one I've been wanting to post for a while because it takes me back to the 80's.

1989 to be exact.

Sexy or what?

I was a pageant girl - starting at the age of 13 and this is a picture from one of the pageants I was in.

I let my Mom get rid of all my old pageant clothing when they moved from Arkansas to Georgia, some 9-years ago.  I sort of regret it because I think it would be fun for our potential/future daughter to play around in. Especially, all the dance costumes.  Yes, I was a tap dancer for my talent. If only I could post some of the videos.  You would crack up!

Funny Foto Saturday

I wanted to post this yesterday but never got around to it. So it's an edition of Funny Foto Friday on Saturday morning.

The year was 1992 from what I can recall. Who else was part of their teen fashion board at their local mall?
Cheesy but so very 90's.
I did it in Baton Rouge and I did it in Hot Springs. This particular fashion show was not at the mall but instead for a bridal shop in Hot Springs that one of my family members happened to be part owner of.

You have to love the fashions back then AND the hair. Curly and big was the name of the game! I think we were doing some sort of dance routine?

In other news, Brad and I are continuing to run but it's painful kids...that is..until it's over. Then you feel great.

I've thought about quitting on multiple occassions but for now I'm sticking with it. Happy Saturday to you all!!

Funny Foto Friday

I haven't done funny foto friday in a while so I thought I would give you guys a glimpse of this! WOW!
Can you say 'turbo?' The hair, the costume, the whole thing.

I danced for years and years. Tap dance was my talent when I was in beauty pageants. I was 14-years old in this picture.

Happy Friday! We, of course, are hitting the lake this weekend! Can't wait!! We're also going to a shag-dance party. I've never shagged before but something tells me that I will learn this weekend!!

Two Peas in a Pod?

So I spent last night scanning old pictures of Brad and I as kids. One of the big things that I do want at my rehearsal dinner/wedding reception is a fun slide show with all sorts of pictures.

Anyone who knows me -- knows that I LOVE pictures and scrapbooking. My entire life is pretty much documented! What I figured out this past weekend is that Brad's mother has kept a pretty good documentation too! Good for me!

Anyhoo -- I thought these two pictures really capture our personalities. Brad being a true boy and his goofy self and me.. well, just being Dee. Just thought I would share!
