It's that time of year here in Charlotte! The May races! NASCAR that is....
I am in no way a NASCAR fan but living here in Charlotte you can't get away from it. This weekend is the All-Star race and next weekend in the Coca-Cola 600 -- all here in C-town.
What is cool -- is that with race season comes a lot of cool events in Uptown Charlotte including a free concert by the band OAR last night.
Brad and I braved the crowds and beer lines and went last night. Good times! I've seen OAR a few times before including in Chicago and they always put on a good show.
Next week Speed Street will take over Uptown and I'll post about that. It's a street festival that literally takes over Uptown for a week and includes free concerts among all sorts of 'junk' for race fans.
