Time for a Thoughts on Thursday even though it really is my Friday!!!
I say that because I'm heading to Arkansas tonight to help host a wedding shower for my cousin.
I'm super excited!!
I thought about it last night, I haven't been there in almost 2-years!!
Tune in next week for LOTS of pictures from that shower and my first baby shower hosted by my Aunts and Cousins!!
Now to my 'thoughts' and/or happenings.
* A bunch of us bloggers got together earlier this week. It was a smaller group than last time which is sometimes nice because then you can really talk. All of the ladies I had met before so it was really like just getting together with IRL girlfriends, which they have all become.
L to R
A lot of my IRL friends still think it is weird that I actually meet bloggers.
It's like a whole other club or sorority I belong to.*
* My Mom came in last night to travel to Arkansas with me today.
We also got a chance to buy all the fabric for Baby S's nursery.
And, she went ahead and gave Brad and I our shower gift for this weekend.
(she didn't want to travel with it because of the risk of it getting broken)
It's a Beatrix Potter tea set for our little girl!!!
The theme of this weekend's shower in Arkansas is Peter Rabbit so I just LOVE.LOVE.LOVE this!!
Brad responded with a 'I guess, I'll be attending a tea party in the future?'.
YOU BET YOU WILL!!*
*Speaking of 'beverages', Brad has converted our wine fridge into a beer cooler since I'm on a wine drinking hiatus.
It didn't totally shock me when I saw it, but I can't wait until it's stocked again and I can drink!*
* 5 years after being given this license plate by my nephew Preston, it's finally on my car.
My JEEP didn't have a place for a plate on the front, so this makes me really happy. It comes at the perfect time too since college football kicks off soon. *
* I haven't mentioned it on here yet but Baby S is kicking and moving around A LOT! It's pretty amazing to feel!
It's almost surreal!
Brad hasn't been able to feel it yet but I'm hoping that happens in the next week or so.
Next week we're at the 6-month mark!!
Also, Baby S has a name and it starts with an S.
I've shared it with some of you but I'm not sure about posting it here on the blog.
Brad came up with it and what I can tell you is that it is not a family name but very Southern.
I truly adore it, especially since I was really wanting an S name but couldn't come up with one.*
That's all I really have for today.
I'll be back next week with tons of pictures from my trip to Arkansas.
Busy blog girl! I love the tea set. My friend would love that also. I can't wait to have Tea with you and baby girl. Tell Brad I'll attend in his place while he plays with Keith.
ReplyDeleteBlogging is like a sorority! So funny. I love telling IRL friends that I met someone through blogging...
ReplyDeleteThat tea set is adorable!
ReplyDeleteNice that you are able to meet bloggers.
Not that I'm biased, but S names are the BEST names! ;) Love the teas set. Adorbs!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Peter Rabbit. So precious.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the monogram - looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteAnd, I love Brad's response to the tea set - so sweet!
Also, when I come to NC for your shower, will I be a "transfer" into the Beta Chis (Bloggers Charlotte?!). Um, please start calling yourselves Beta Chi. Please.
Tea set is adorable! Can't wait to see pics of your shower. He will be having tea parties non-stop!
ReplyDeleteI am several weeks ahead of you and still don't have a name. I love classic and southern but just haven't found the name. S and southern! Im stumped but dying to know!!!
The monogram is precious - as is the name!! Have a great trip. I have a Beatrix potter little tea cup my aunt brought back from London when I was a kid. I have it in Bia's room.
ReplyDeleteSo many things to comment on...first off, you have a name? Oh my goodness I want to hear it. :) Although I understand if you don't share. I'm loving your LSU plate..and of course the hubby really does. Have fun at your shower this weekend. I love that you are meeting up with fellow bloggers. I still wish I knew more in my area for a fun gathering like that. Enjoy your weekend, and can't wait for fun pics.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend. Love the tea set.
ReplyDeleteLove baby names so share with me on e-mail if you can.
I think an S name is great. I think I may know. :)
So, so exciting that you have a name!! Love the monogram. Gorgeous. As for the blogger meet up...so much fun! I wish I could have gotten together with you girls but alas, I'm in TX! If you're ever in Austin let me know and we'll graba drink. :) Have fun in Arkansas at the shower. Such a special time!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear the name! I love it when first and last name starts with the same letter. It just flows so nicely. LOVE the tea set. I've already had to teach Bobby that Lyla will ask him to marry her someday and that when she bats her eyes at him, she's flirting. Daddies with daughters are so cute!
ReplyDeleteHow fun!! Wish I could come to one of your blogger meet ups and finally meet you!! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to learn baby S's name!
Love that you had a bloggy meet-up because now I can see those other girls blogs. A couple of them are new to me! And can't wait for you to reveal your perfect Southern S name! I bet its amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou better email the name, stat!!! Baby names are my favorite thing ever.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, you will have lots of tea parties. It is still TM's favorite thing to do.
Last night she poured me "wine." Nice.
Brad is genious on his winefridge conversion. Genious.
ReplyDeleteLove that tea set!! And blogging is the total post-collegiate sorority :)
