Quick post today but I wanted to get one in before I hit the road.
I'm heading to my parents for a few days sans Brad.
Just me, Shelby and Buddy.
Thank goodness they only live 2 and 1/2 hours away.
I plan on feeding the rugrat and leaving right away!
HA!!
Here's a few pictures from the last few days.
For those you that follow me on Instagram, you've seen a lot of them already.
I really have a problem.
When dressing Shelby I think about what I can wear to match her?
Is that not ridiculous?
At least a few of you said you do the same thing so at least I don't feel like a big whackadoodle!
I cooked nearly everyday last week.
I've been trying to keep in healthy and low carb.
I feel like I've been doing a decent job despite my wine intake.
I've been walking 2 to 3 miles 6-days a week.
I can already tell a major difference!
As for the 8-week program I bought?
I doing a few things in there but not following it religiously.
As for Miss Shelby.
She's doing fab.
She was sleeping through the night most of last week but that has changed.
BOOHOO!
I'm thinking we're almost done with the swaddling too.
She seems to break free every night.
Here she appears to be sucking her thumb?
She's been doing that a lot.
Having sucked my thumb until age 8, resulting in 3-years of braces, I sure hope not.
She's also loving her activity mat.
I'm really surprised how much she enjoys playing on it!!
Friday night we had our second date night since baby.
Lulu from Looks Like LuLu, and her husband Keith were nice enough to babysit for us!
I think they had a blast with her even though she fell asleep on them, literally sitting straight up!!
LOL!
This picture makes me laugh.
As for other things going on?
Not much.
Just sad looking at Facebook and Instagram at all our friends and family enjoying Mardi Gras.
Maybe we'll get back down there in a few years and take Miss Shelby.
Hope you all had a great weekend.
I'll try and check in with all of your blogs soon!
Until then...
CIAO!
Shelby is such a pretty baby!! Such a beauty! Parenthood seems to suit y'all well :) Have a great time at your parents!
ReplyDeleteSounds like she is adjusting so well!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute photos!
ReplyDeleteJust catching up....and girl, you are looking amazing. Seriously, how do you do it? Workout, cook every night and still take care of that cutie Miss Shelby. You are seriously making me feel lazy. I need to step it up. You do look great, and I'm so happy to hear you and the hubs got away for a little time just the two of you. Have fun at you Mom's. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a fun trip! I accidentally match James all the time, cute for mommy and daughter to match - weird for mommy and son-ha!
ReplyDeleteThat pic makes me laugh too! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteThat food looks awesome! Now I'm hungry. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quote of this post :
