Saturday will be a month since Shelby was born but I'm already dreaming of how I'm going to get my body back.
First things first.
I needed to lose 5 or 10-pounds BEFORE I ever got pregnant so now I'm on a mission to lose what I gained and even more.
I gained 27-pounds during the pregnancy and from what I can tell on my home scale I'm about 5 to 8-pounds from my start weight.
But, my body is far from where it was and I know that's going to take time especially since I'm not breastfeeding.
Even through the holidays I tried my best to eat more veggies and less sweets and pasta but I didn't totally deprive myself.
But now it's 'go time'.
I hope to be back to here in a month or so but looking BETTER!
One of my sorority sisters from LSU had her second baby in October and posted on Facebook about this 8- week program to get your body after baby back.
I immediately ordered it and can't wait to see the results!
BUT..
I went back to the doctor this week and he's telling me another 3-weeks before I can really exercise.
(the night I went in to deliver)
So, until then I'm going to eat lots of salads and fruits and do my best to lose these last few pounds before I can attack my muscles in the gym.
My goal is to be back in my regular clothes by the time I go back to work on March 6th.
I think I can..I think I can.

ReplyDeleteYou got this! You have less than 10 lbs to lose by March just to fit back into your work clothes and feel good... and then the extra weight you want to lose will come off because you are so determined. Hot mama!!

ReplyDeleteLoosing baby weight is so hard!!! I am on my 3rd pregnancy and I am in panic mode about loosing this weight. After my first, it melted right off. After my second, it took me a year! Though, I did not proactively work out or anything. This time around I have cutback on sugars and starches big time. I am not looking to gain 50lbs with this one like I did my first two. Pre baby I am only about 103lbs, so you can imagine how hard it was to gain half of my body weight with my pregnancies. Here is to exercising and loosing body weight fast!! You can do it!!
ReplyDeleteYou will drop the lbs in no time! You are very dedicated to your health. Google "barre" workouts in your area. It does amazing things for toning your middle....amazing!
ReplyDeletewe can do it together - i don't have baby weight - but i have med weight -i'm doing the Whole30 starting tomorrow and LOTS of exercising - WE CAN DO THIS! .. and ur practically there and look AMAZING already!

ReplyDeleteYou are doing so well. It took me six months to lose 25 pounds after my first pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteBut, I lost it and more. After the second pregnancy, it was more effort, and now I'm not as small as I was before the second pregnancy. It's my age, and thryoid, but I don't exercise as hard as some people either. You will do well.
