Exercise and 31-weeks

Those of you who follow me on Instagram or Twitter - @DeNanner have seen this picture.
I'm 31-weeks now and feeling pretty good!
As I've mentioned in the past few posts, I'm really surprised that my rib and back pain haven't come back, but there is still time.

Let's talk about exercise.
As most of you know, I've been able to stay active the entire pregnancy but in the past few weeks I've officially slowed down.
Where I was walking 5-days a week, I went down to 4-days and now I'm down to 3-days a week and walking isn't part of my game anymore.
I'm just too slow, and it's not comfortable so I've been sticking to the stationary bike at the gym instead.
It's one of the sit down bikes where your feet are in front of you.
I'm not burning a million calories or anything but I feel pretty proud that I'm doing anything at all.
What I HAVE noticed is that it's not good for me to exercise on days where I have a long schedule.
For instance..
Tuesday morning I was at the gym at 6am feeling great!
But...
By, 3 o'clock I was dead and I had Junior League commitments until 8:30pm.
I was able to make it but not without feeling totally exhausted.
So, I'm giving myself a break for that.
At least I'm doing something, right?
I'm really hoping I can do some sort of exercise each week right up until delivery.
We shall see..

This week will only be a 2-day exercise week for me because this afternoon we leave for my cousin's wedding in Arkansas where I'm serving as her Matron of Honor.
There is a LOT packed into our days from here on out so I'm going to take it easy when I can instead of worrying about exercising.
I can't wait to share with you all the pictures from her big day!!
Until then!!
Have a GREAT weekend!!

  4. I still think you're a rock star for being as on-the-go as you've always been! I would fall back on the couch with the remote and ice cream and demand foot rubs.

  6. It definitely gets harder, that is for sure! I am still doing SMALL walks a few days a week with the dogs. Mostly because they need it, and at this point I can only hope it helps progress things!

Have a great time in Arkansas!

  8. Even if you miss exercise I've noticed that I am so much more active getting ready for her on top of the normal grind so that counts for something? I walk with my dog but not long walks anymore and do yoga once a week. This past Monday it was hard to do all the poses and I felt reflux coming on so this next week we will see...maybe my last : (. You are still looking GREAT!

  11. You are looking good and I think it's great you are staying as active as possible. I am 37 weeks but measuring 39 and am trying to walk as much as possible just to see if it will help make baby come early!

  13. Good for you! I worked out up until I had Liam...like just a few days earlier....but this time...I am just too tired and can't fit it in. Between dropping him off for school, grocery store, etc.

Had hopefully my last appt. today. I am hoping the babe arrives this weekend! I am just 10 days out!!!!

  15. you're doing great and looking great! I did step and turbo kick classes 4 days a week until the day before I delivered with Christian. Pretty sure I haven't been back since-that might explain why I'm fat!!!! But it defintatly got slower at the end, I was no longer on a step but on the ground. and my kicks were barely lifts.....but i loved it. now i just hate exercise. go figure
