21-Weeks and Update on Mystery Pain

I feel like all I do on here is update you guys on my pregnancy.
I'm going to try my best in the coming weeks to find something else to talk about.
Promise!
But for today pregnancy it is.
I'm 21-weeks today and believe it or not I'm still hitting the gym.
(hence the photo above)

In my last post I talked about the terrible pain I have been experiencing.
Well, it was back last night and I had not even eaten anything bad.
I was DOUBLED over for hours, the pain hitting me at intermittent times.
It's almost like a cramp.
It comes...then it lets go...then a minute later it's back.
Each time you're in the fetal position.
Finally it let up and I was so worn out and exhausted I could barely sleep.

Today I got in to have an ultrasound and get the results of my blood work.
I was pretty convinced this pain around my right rib bone was gallbladder related but it's NOT!
In fact, they said my gallbladder, kidneys, pancreas and liver all look remarkable.

I'm not going to lie.
I was relieved but at the same time I wanted to cry.
What the heck is going on???!!!!
The doctor said it's really too early for it to be me stretching to make room for the baby, but part of me thinks that is what it has to be.
In fact, I talked to my cousin tonight and she said her Mom had the same thing happen around the same point in her first pregnancy.
Once, she popped and the muscles popped the pain was gone.

LORD, I sure hope so!!
It isn't all the time.
It's hit or miss.
Well, that's all I really have for tonight.
I am going to continue to eat low-fat just in case it is something gastro related.
Have any of you experienced this type of thing while being pregnant?

i just had gallbladder surgery in may. be careful...mine showed up on the ultrasound; however, i've read that that's not always the case. sometimes you have to have this test run to figure out if it's your gallbladder.

i'm really hoping it's not for you! gallbladder pain SUCKS!!!!

I hope you feel better soon, I had all kinds of crazy pains and was super sick to boot. A nice warm bath helps a lot, the cat yoga pose helped stretches all that out. Also may be too soon, but a maternity support belt helps a lot too. I remember being doubled over in pain and poor Josh had to go to 3 different maternity stores to get me one. It was literally instant relief when I put it on, I couldn't believe it. Feel better!

Sorry you are having pains...could it be round ligament pain?

I had the same type of pain around 20 weeks with both my pregnancies. My doctor said it was probably my uterus stretching and organs shifting around in order to make room for the baby. She also said that smaller...aka shorter women seem to have more pain because their bodies have to stretch more to make room!
I did yoga until I was 8.5 months with Hudson and it really helped!
Just remember....if you're concerned. CALL THE DOCTOR. Don't worry about feeling silly. This is your baby and your body. If something doesn't seem right, check it out! :) Hope the pains subside soon!

Listen to Sara - call the dr if it doesn't feel right. Honestly I can't remember ever having that pain but based on Sara's comments I wouldn't have (I'm 5'9"). Hang in there and do yoga - the stretching has amazing benefits!!

I experienced this very thing a few weeks ago. I was pretty sure I was dying or losing the baby. Now, it's totally let up. Go figure.

I am so sorry you have this pain. That's terrible. I wish I could remember. I do think I had some pulling, and pain, but nothing like you seem to be experiencing or I think I would remember because I"m such a hypochrondiac.

I can't believe it's 21 weeks now.

with pregnancy comes lots of crazy pains...but i did not have any that bad that early. i was in crying pain with colton at about 8 months, turns out he was just making his way to the head down position with no room to do it in. hope you feel better...you look great!

I hate that you're in so much pain. I had some stretching/growing pains but it was later on, and nothing extreme like that. Hope you start feeling better soon!
