A Few Days in Dallas

I'm back from Dallas!
So great to be home!
It's hot here in Charlotte too but nothing like it was in Dallas!
HOLY HEAT!!

As I mentioned last week, I went to work with my Mom for a few days.
She's an event planner and had a big conference for the Defense industry.

I got to see tons of family and friends on my short jaunt to the the Big D!
Starting with the Atlanta airport where I had a layover.
Guess who I just happened to see walking by?
My nephew Preston!
Shenanigans!
They had a 4-hour layover too going home from my parents so we all hung out!
Then arriving in Dallas my cousin James aka Buster was there helping my Mom out too.
Here he is enjoying an iced Tea Forte!
These things are crazy good!
On Sunday I got to finally meet blogging buddies Allison and Sarah!
We brunched at the Four Seasons and it was lovely.
A little jazz band, good food and good company!
I got to meet Sarah's newest addition, John Robert!
What a cutie and so tiny!
So fun to meet bloggers!
While in Dallas I also was there to help my brother, Wes, celebrate his 41st birthday!
Like I mentioned, the event I was helping with was a Defense conference so there were tons of toys to play with while there like this shooting range simulator.
Yep, in a dress minus my heels I got to shoot  a machine gun.
Pretty fun but heavy!
My Aunt and Uncle drove over from Hot Springs to visit while I was there.
Always good to see Aunt Betty!
And.. what would a visit to Dallas be without seeing one of my besties -- Kara.
Remember, she was in Charlotte a few weeks ago visiting.
And, before I left at the crack of dawn this morning I got one more visit in with Aunt Betty and Uncle Jimmy.

No sights of Dallas.
I pretty much stayed in the hotel and worked the event.
I did get out for two hours yesterday to shop very quickly.
Oh, well..
That's how it goes.
Ready for the weekend now and some down time with Brad and Buddy.
We're thinking the lake.
Happy Humpday.

SHUT UP! I know Allison! Well, I know her from blogging. She was one of the very first people I started following back in 08. Crazy small world! I live in Oklahoma now but I lived in Fort Worth for 7 years (until 08). I love that you got to experience our HOT! =)

Great pics!
