It's All About Cookies!..and....

It's all about cookies...and of course..

WINE!

I kid..I kid.

Well, maybe not. LOL!

Check out these cute wine charms my MIL got me last Christmas. So fun to use them this year!

My weekend started with a friend's birthday get together then hanging at the house and baking!

As I mentioned last week - I made Granny Lillard's lace cookies. Yummy indeed and pretty easy too! A little oatmeal, butter, sugar, flour, vanilla and milk and WAH-LAH!

I decided to drizzle chocolate on them using a squeeze bottle but had a little problem when the top came off on one cookie.

I proceeded to get my sh-t together after that and they turned out perfect.

Budster was in heaven this weekend waiting for scraps of anything to hit the floor. His jingle bell neckware about drove Brad over the edge though! It's all about being festive!

Then time for my cookie and ornament exchange on Sunday. Of course being the host I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked.

This was different but good. Chocolate chip cheese ball served with graham crackers.

I made apple walnut gorgonzola turnovers.

Along with poppy seed ham sammys, quiche, some other munchies served with mulled cider, wine, champagne, etc.

Friends..Terrible picture. Bad hair day, bad light, bad overall. Can't believe I posted.

Blurry. My camera has been acting weird. I think it's time for a new one.

Monster cookies.

Some sort of butter cream cookie. Delish!

We had tons and tons of cookies!

Toffee on graham crackers. Simple but YUMMY!

Oreo balls made with peppermint Joe Joe's from T. Joes

Always a fun time hanging with the ladies. This is the 3rd year for my cookie exchange and even though the group was a tad bit smaller this year it was a blast!

Brad is always a big help too. He helped make food and even got Buddy out of the house this year.

Ornament exchange.

I forgot to take a picture of the one I picked. Wait until you see it. Fits me perfect.

As does this ornament for my co-worker Ms. Von!

Only 10-days until we leave for the Bahamas! Until then -- time to wrap gifts, watch what I eat and workout.
I can't believe I have to get into a swimsuit in 10-days! YIKES!
How was your weekend?

You know what, we usually get together and decorate cookies with the ladies in my family. This year we decided just to exchange them and drink wine instead!

Looks like a blast and so yummy!

Bahamas...yay! We did New Years there one year. The weather was nice but too cold to get in the water. Unless you have a heated pool...that would perfect!

You gave me some great ideas for the cookie exchange I'm hosting on Thursday! Also, my beagle baby has that same jingle bell collar. She hates it, and hangs her head and tries not to move when I put it on her-it's so funny.
Have so much fun in the Bahamas!

What a lovely get together. I've had the chocolate chip cheese ball w/graham crackers before at a party, and it was a great success. No doubt you girls had a smashing time!
