Fun weekend -- babysitting and da' lake!

Brad and I had a fun-filled adventurous weekend beginning with babysitting his 7-month old niece Paige and nearly 3-year old nephew Reed.

Robyn and Jeff went to a noon wedding on Saturday so we got there about 11am and kept them until around 5pm. That means we got to do lunch, nap, etc..

Things were great but poor baby Paige wasn't feeling too well and cried or slept most of the day until the last hour or so. I have to say that I was pretty impressed with Brad because he took control of that situation and calmed her down. I didn't help at all except changing her diapers(which I volunteered) :)...

I was in charge of entertaining Reed for the most part and he was great. It started out with his sticker books -- which resulted in stickers all over me and even Buddy(see pix above). Then he played a little t-ball with his Uncle Brad(who just loves doing that..a coach at heart I suppose?), then we dyed Easter eggs.

A fun filled day so far but afterwards Brad and I went up to his parents house at High Rock Lake where we had our first boat venture of 2009!

We took an evening cruise with parents - then Brad and I went on our own today. So fun!
The weather was in the 70's today which makes me crave warm weather -- yet I heard it's turning off cold again this week :( BOO!

Happy Sunday! I have to get to bed now!

Easter eggs!

He didn't like the actual eggs..he spit it out..

So... I gave it to Buddy instead..

Reed was all about the Easter bucket I got him...he wanted to carry it everywhere...

Then, High Rock Lake. My dream house....ahhhh..

Mr. Joe letting Buddy try and drive the boat!

Sunset.... Brad thinks I'm goofy for loving sunsets and sunrise so much... ;)

Brad and I on our own today taking a cruise..

Hello Spring/Summer! :)

I heart Buddy. Seriously.

And, you're so fun!!!!! Dee, we seriously have so much in common. I would have had tons of activities, too, to keep everyone busy. It can't hurt.

Yay for dying eggs! We're scheduled for Sunday. Why do I wait for the day before Easter mass when they will still be dyed head to toe? Not sure.

Lovely lake and boat! We hope to buy one soon. Well, soon, like in 5 years.

Thanks again for sitting! I hope you'll come back. Reed was exhausted from his nap...his awful mood went through the evening...fun fun. Paige is going to the doc today for allergies... Never fails...kids are in rare form when we have sitters..who knew?

Hope the lake was fun!

I guess it was him playing in his room during nap time..
