Brussels Sprouts.
I know what many of you are thinking.
Disgusting...
Right?
Umm..no.
This is not a veggie that I can ever recall my Mom cooking in our house, because my Dad is not much of a veggie guy, and I don't remember them growing in South Louisiana?
Anyway, it's only been in the past 12-years that I discovered just how tasty they are.
And, guess what?
Brad likes them now too!
I like to typically roast them in the oven with a little olive and sea salt.
Fifteen minutes, shaking the pan to rotate them every five.
This allows them to get nice and crispy.
Brad likes to call them, little salty, yummy cabbages.
It's one of our favorites.
The reason for this random post tonight?
I saw this recipe on my favorite cooking website, Gina's Skinny Taste.
Sounds like a tasty Wednesday meal for us and a perfect way to eat sprouts, yet again!

We have brussel sprouts all the time ~ love them. Too funny, I bookmarked the same recipe tonight for next weeks menu.

I has them at a cool restaurant last year with a maple glaze-amazing! We asked the chef how they were made and recreate them often. I just cut them in half, put them in a cast iron skillet with some oil and salt for a little bit, then pour some maple syrup over and toss to coat and caramelize. Wow, I want some for dinner!
I like brussel sprouts, too!
I hated them as a kid ... not sure I really like them now either. If they are cooked the right way I could probably eat them but prefer other veggies.
I love Brussel sprouts too. I dont understand why they get such a bad rap.
I really want to like them. I do. I love most veggies and with a little salt and butter......they can do as an entire meal for me and I'm happy.
But, I can do the brussel sprout. I've tried. I can't do it.
Agree, they are an awesome fall/winter vegetable. I think the secret is roasting them...that's what people started doing in the past few years that changed their reputation because it brings out the sweetness. In the 80s, people didn't know what to do with them other than boil them, which gives them a mushy texture (and, I think, also smells kinda grody?)...
My husband said he hated them. One day I roasted them the way you did and now he loves them just like me.
Baby cabbages, that's what we call them. Love 'em. Part of Christmas dinner.
My favorite meal at my favorite restaurant is: Seabass with roasted brussell sprouts - so delish!! And I never knew that I liked them.
Even Hudson likes them roasted!
Call me a weirdo, but I L-OVE brussel sprouts!
I am pretty sure I have NEVER eaten brussel sprouts in my life....for sure I have not cooked them
Playing read catch up. I chose to comment on this one post, but I read about six.
I love brussel sprouts, and I love your condo. It's gorgeous.
Hope you're doing well.
I love them, especially roasted with bacon ;) I'll have to check out the recipe, always looking for new ideas!
